ROADS AND STREETS IN OLD PLYMOUTH

WELL STREET

Well Street, Plymouth, ran from King Street northwards to Hastings Terrace.  The odd numbers were on the western side and the even numbers on the eastern side.

Number 32A Well Street, on the corner with Tracy Street Ope, November 1960.
Mr Albert E Dyson was the grocer here in 1951.
Note the interesting collection of wall signs.

There were no prominent buildings in Well Street and the only businesses of note were Messrs Hitchings and Mason, printers, which in 1951 was owned by Messrs W E Pring and J C Veale, and Mr G A Newberry, upholsterer.
