RAILWAYS IN OLD PLYMOUTH | BRANCH LINE, LAIRA JUNCTION TO SUTTON HARBOUR AND NORTH QUAY (SDR/GWR/BRWR) SUTTON HARBOUR STATION Although Sutton Harbour had a railway station at 245 miles 63 chains from London Paddington Station via Bristol Temple Meads mile post mileage, it was really only a goods depot and did not accept passengers for travel. The station shed was the former Arrivals Shed from the South Devon Railway Company's Laira Green Temporary Station, moved here in 1852. Sutton Harbour Station was closed with the entire Sutton Harbour and North Quay Branch on and as from December 31st 1973. |
