RAILWAYS IN OLD PLYMOUTH |
YEALMPTON BRANCH MOUNT GOULD AND TOTHILL HALT Mount Gould and Tothill Halt was opened by the Great Western Railway Company in October 1905 to cater for the growing residential district of those names and was served by passenger trains on the Great Western Railway's Yealmpton Branch. It suffered from competition from the Plymouth Corporation electric tramways to Beaumont Road and Prince Rock and was closed to traffic on or as from February 1st 1918. |
