BARBICAN BRANCH POST OFFICE

1889

In 1889 the Barbican Post Office was also a Money Order Office, a Savings Bank and an Annuity and Insurance Office.

Letters were collected at 7.40am, 9.45am, 11.05am, 1.20pm, 2.35pm, 4.50pm, 7pm, 8.10pm, 9.55pm and at 11.15pm.  There were only two collections on a Sunday, at 7am and 11.15pm.

In 1891 the Barbican Branch Post Office was at number 35 Southside Street.
